As more and more state medical colleges and institutes join the AIPMT bandwagon, CBSE is leaving virtually no stones unturned to make sure that all rules and regulations with regard to the admission schemes into state medical colleges under AIPMT.
Edu-experts are also of the opinion that it’s indeed an important step considering that a large chunk of the students appearing in AIPMT 2014 will be eventually taking admission into these colleges - either by choice or out of compulsion.
The rules and regulations for admission schemes applicable with state medical colleges/universities/institutes/AFMC etc. are as follows:
Those states/universities/institutes opting to admit medical aspirants to its colleges from the merit list of AIPMT 2014, are allowed to prepare separate rank list based on the All India Rank in AIPMT as well as other relevant criteria applicable.
Candidates seeking admission in colleges other than 15 per cent of the All India Quota are strongly recommended to visit the website of the state/colleges/universities in question.
Admission to the AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College), Pune will be subject to the norms recommended by the Directorate of Armed Force Medical Services, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Those who want to apply for AIPMT 2014 and also seek admission in AFMC will require applying on the official website of AFMC (www.afmc.dg1d.gov.in). All short listed students must appear for a second stage Screening conducted exclusively by the AFMC. For further information, candidates are advised to contact the AFMC.
